C/K FSD Cooler installation instructions

•   For best heat transfer, remove both transistor plastic caps on the mounting side
of your new FSD (optional)

•   Mount the FSD to the cooler using supplied grade S fasteners. Lubricate threads
with Never-Seize or equivalent. Torque the FSD mounting screws to 23
inch/pounds using a 7/64th allen wrench; This is critical for proper heat transfer
and life of your FSD.

•    Install a #9 calibration resistor (optional) into the connector on your new FSD,
paying close attention to the alignment tab.

•    Remove 2) upper intake manifold bolts (on the drivers side) using a 10mm
wrench, and mount the Heat-Sync by threading the bolts through the mounting
bracket and back into the intake manifold. Torque to 18 ft/lbs

•   Remove harness connector from existing PMD using a small screw driver to
release the latch

•   Using a T25 Torx screw-driver, remove the harness ground wire on the top of the
injection pump, and replace the screw

•    Using a hook fabricated from a suitable stiff wire (coat hanger will do) gently pull
the PMD connector straight up, until it will reach the new FSD mounted to the
Heat-Sync and plug-in (the harness is plenty long enough to reach without
straining the harness, if it strains, something is hanging up the harness-proceed
gently with hook to release)

•  Attach the harness ground wire under the ground screw on the side of the Heat-
Sync

Notes:

After initial 3000 miles, re-torque the FSD mounting screws to assure proper heat
transfer. Thereafter every other oil change.
